help of a psychologist

At Expio, we help you find solutions to problems affecting your quality of life. The process of life is largely a reaction to everyday stresses. When some aspect of our lives becomes painful or problematic, and attempts to resolve this problem are ineffective, it is advisable to turn to specialists. First of all, we will help with a detailed and accurate assessment of the nature of the problem. Then, together with you, we will develop and implement a plan of care aimed at effectively and caringly solving the problem.

Whatever your request is - to solve specific life problems, restore mental health, change your mood, vision of yourself, your life and the world around you, improve relationships or career, enhance the positive aspects that you already have in your life - our psychologists and psychotherapists will offer you different approaches and help you achieve your goals. With a professional and sensitive approach, we will help you heal the traumas of the past, unlock the abilities and possibilities that already exist within you, and find new solutions that will allow you to enjoy life and thrive.

It's never too late to seek psychological help. Although you may be a mature adult, head of the family, owner of the house, successful professional and parent of many children, you still cannot know the answers to all life's questions and are not ready for all the vicissitudes of life. The older you get, the more responsibility you inevitably take on. Sometimes the stress of a big responsibility can become too much, causing anxiety, depression, or burnout. Or you may still be feeling the effects of events that happened in your past and be trapped in anger, shame, guilt, and self-criticism.

In the center of Expio you will find that safe space where you can talk about everything that is on your shoulders. No topic is taboo. No matter what you are experiencing, our psychologists will be able to help you with great compassion and empathy. Our goal is to lead you to emotional balance, a healthy mind, and a harmonious lifestyle by helping you develop new understanding, teaching you coping skills, and helping you achieve a new relationship with yourself and others.

By developing an understanding of your emotions and their effect on your body, as well as learning new behavioral strategies, our specialists will help you navigate your adult life better. Your relationships with friends, family and colleagues will improve. You will be able to better focus on work and feel the interest in life again, begin to live with love for yourself, outside the framework of unconstructive beliefs based on past negative experiences. In other words, if you feel stuck in life and do not know where to go next, we are ready to help you.

Personal growth and self-knowledge

For those who want to explore their inner world, understand themselves, develop healthy aspects of their personality, change their lives for the better, understand their subconscious, find a resource state for solving current problems, develop abilities to solve complex and non-trivial problems, find their spiritual path .

To solve all these problems, both psychological counseling and psychotherapy are used. What is their difference?

Consulting is a psychological help designed to solve a specific problem, which, as a rule, does not violate mental health. The problem is discussed, analyzed, considered from the point of view of its origin and prospects for overcoming. During the sessions, the psychologist usually refers to the client's past, his life situation, dreams, beliefs, relationships. Various methods are used in the work - conversation, psychodiagnostics, a trance state, drawing, etc. The psychologist does not impose his decisions, but tries to follow the client, helps him to realize, experience and accept various emotions as possible. Thus, the consultant and the client together look for ways to solve difficult situations.

Psychotherapy - this is a deep work that is required in cases where the problem affects all aspects of the client's life or violates his mental health, causing neurosis, depression, anxiety disorder, psychosomatic problems. Psychotherapy can be short-term, centered around a specific problem that is not too severe, and teaches the principles of dealing with similar problems as they arise in the future.

Long-term psychotherapy consists in a step-by-step study by the client of his personality, understanding and working out the causes of problems, mastering internal resources and self-regulation skills. The psychotherapist here acts as an assistant or "guide". Such an approach is sometimes needed in the treatment of mental trauma, depression, difficult life situations, phobias, etc. As a result of long-term deep work, the psyche is healed, self-acceptance appears, internal restructuring takes place, the quality of life improves, and harmony with the world is established.
